Job summary

Telkom Openserve is seeking a Manager: Core Maintenance to lead the regional Core Network maintenance and supervision of the Core Network Field Operations. You will direct an operational plan, coordinate with stakeholders and ensure timely activation and commissioning of network elements to deliver reliable service.

You will manage a team, drive performance, training and welfare, and ensure compliance with Openserve policies while controlling OPEX and CAPEX as part of responsible governance.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience
• NQF 6: National Diploma/ Advanced Diploma/ Certificate

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an operational plan
• Obtain required information from key role players
• Identify, implement and track targets & goals for environment
• Maintain and repair core network
• Effective management of special services activation and assurance, quality acceptance and commissioning of new network elements
• Manage terrestrial, satellite, and submarine transmission channels in the region
• Connect customers to the network
• Ensure quality assurance and that timelines are met
• Implement human capital plan and work force planning
• Manage the performance, productivity, development and wellbeing of own team
• Build and maintain efficient relationships with stakeholders and service providers
