Job summary

Woodlands Dairy (Pty) (Ltd) seeks an energetic Area Sales Manager to expand market presence across Port Elizabeth / Gqeberha and the Karoo, managing accounts, leading the internal team and driving volume growth through retail and wholesale channels, reporting to the EC Regional Sales Manager.

You will oversee third-party agents, monitor stock and cold chain, provide market feedback, and build relationships with major buyers.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12); relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of proven sales management experience within the FMCG sector.
• Proven track record in key account management with established relationships among major retail buyers and wholesale groups
• Experience within the dairy or perishables food sector is highly advantageous
• Strong communication, sales, and negotiation skills.
• Computer literacy with solid financial and reporting capabilities.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multitask.
• Valid unendorsed driver’s licence and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional growth by directly managing accounts and overseeing third-party operations.
• Manage and drive performance through partnered sales and merchandising agents, ensuring external teams deliver on agreed service levels.
• Lead key account management and handle agency and partner management.
• Drive volume growth within your portfolio while overseeing cold chain and stock management.
• Direct and manage the internal sales team.
• Provide regular market feedback to managementregardingcompetitor movement, pricing trends, new product route-to-market opportunities, launched and regional opportunities.
