Astron Energy (Pty) Ltd. Milnerton refinery seeks a Technical Manager to lead the Technical Department, guiding process support, process safety and design, FEI, laboratory and control systems to optimise profitability and asset health within safe operating limits.

You will set strategic direction for process technologies, catalysts and operating envelopes, own capital project governance and ensure technical governance across the portfolio.

Qualifikationen

• BSc in Engineering (Chemical / Process) or equivalent.
• Postgraduate degree (MBA) with focus on commercial, strategy or operational leadership, advantageous.
• Professional registration (e.g. Professional Engineer) advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Translate strategy into operational initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
• Own the technical strategy for the Operations Business Unit and custodianship of process technologies.
• Steward technology across the refinery, governing process guarantees and operating envelopes.
• Drive refinery profitability and operational stability through strategic performance goals.
• Oversee integrity management, process safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and manage relationships with licensors and external stakeholders.
• Endorse capital projects through PPC stage gates and ensure value delivery and risk management.
