Astron Energy South Africa (Pty) invites applications for a Technical Manager to lead the Technical Department, the central hub of the Operations Business Unit. This role owns process technologies, catalysts and operating envelopes, and governs FEI and control systems to sustain profitability, reliability, and safe operations.

You will drive strategy, governance, and capital project input across multiple engineering functions.

Responsabilités

• Translate strategy into operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Own the technical strategy for the Operations Business Unit and catalyst tech.
• Oversee catalyst and chemicals management to align with reliability and profitability.
• Evaluate chemical contractors and tenders to secure optimal performance and value.
• Steward refinery technology, licensor relationships, and process upgrade governance.
• Ensure technoeconomic viability of projects and PPC stage-gate approvals.
• Provide technical leadership across Process Support, Process Safety & Design, FEI, Lab, and Controls.
• Set direction for laboratory analysis to deliver product-quality certification and losses reduction.
• Oversee integrity risk assessments and KPI reporting; ensure maintenance alignment.
