Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers is seeking a receiving clerk in Durbanville to accurately receive goods, conduct quality checks and maintain cold chain and hygiene standards. The role requires Matric Grade 12 and 1-2 years of receiving experience, with flexibility for long hours and physically demanding tasks in open receiving areas.

You will ensure security procedures, complete administration, operate equipment and communicate with staff, management, customers and suppliers daily.

Qualifications

• Matric Grade 12 is required.
• 1-2 years receiving experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and return goods systematically and accurately according to laid down company policies and procedures
• Conduct quality checks
• Ensure that the cold chain is maintained
• Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping and safe working standards are maintained
• Ensure that security procedures are adhered to
• Assist with relieve security procedures at the back door
• Prevent wastage/shrinkage/damages
• Complete all relevant administration/documentation
• Operate equipment according to laid down standards
• Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers and suppliers
