Job summary

Pick n Pay Retailers is seeking a Receiving supervisor to manage store deliveries and returns processing in line with SOPs. You will control receipts, track documentation, and ensure end-to-end receiving accuracy at the distribution centre or store level.

The role requires Matric/Grade 12 and prior receiving supervision experience. You will lead a small team, enforce safety standards, and coordinate with vendors to maintain stock integrity and timely processing.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 and receiving supervisor experience required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving scale checks, fire doors, alarms and generator checks.
• Ensures all deliveries are received in terms of SOP.
• Processes all returns and recyclables as per SOP.
• Meet all deadlines for receiving per SOP requirements.
• Adheres to receiving check lists and required requirements.
• Reports checklist failures to relevant persons.
• Completes required documentation and files for receiving.
• End of day procedures.
• Reject stock/delivery when standards not adhered to.
• Responds to queries on DC claims Health and Safety.
• Maintains housekeeping inside and outside the Receiving Dept.
• Ensures safety standards in receiving practice and equipment use.
• Coaches and supervises staff for performance development.

Job description

Minimises shrinkage risk on receiving doors. Responsible for disposal of stock in terms of company policy and all Admin functions relating to receiving procedures - including those linked to receiving such as Visitors/merchandisers entry control etc. Matric/Grade 12 Receiving supervisor experience required
