Placements24 is seeking an experienced Real Estate Development Manager to lead projects in the Welkom area. You will oversee the full development lifecycle—from site acquisition and feasibility studies to planning, construction, and project completion—in a hybrid office/site setting.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or related field and at least six years in development project management, with strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to drive

• Proven success delivering complex development projects from inception to completion.

About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Real Estate Development Manager to lead projects within the Welkom area. This role involves overseeing the entire development lifecycle, from site acquisition and feasibility studies to planning, construction, and project completion. You will play a key part in shaping the future landscape of Welkom by identifying opportunities and driving impactful real estate developments. This position offers a dynamic blend of office-based strategy and on-site project oversight, embodying a hybrid approach to development management in the Free State .

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential real estate development opportunities, including site selection, due diligence, and financial feasibility analysis.


• Manage all phases of the development process, from concept and design to permitting, construction, and project close-out.


• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters.


• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and adherence to project specifications.


• Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and construction teams, managing relationships effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field.


• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in real estate development project management.


• Demonstrated success in managing complex development projects from inception to completion.
