Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Real Estate Development Manager to lead projects in the Welkom area. You will oversee the full development lifecycle—from site acquisition and feasibility studies to planning, construction, and project completion—in a hybrid office/site setting.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or related field and at least six years in development project management, with strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to drive

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or related field.
At least 6 years of progressive experience in real estate development project management.
Proven success delivering complex development projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of zoning regulations, building codes, and development approvals.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills for hybrid teams.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate development opportunities including site selection and feasibility analysis.
Manage all phases from concept and design to permitting, construction, and close-out.
Oversee budgets, timelines, and resources to meet financial targets.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and stakeholders for quality and specs.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and construction teams throughout the lifecycle.
