Placements24 is seeking a visionary Real Estate Development Manager to lead ambitious projects in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will oversee the full lifecycle from concept and feasibility through to delivery, sale or lease, with a focus on securing land and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Property Development, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in real estate development with a strong focus on project management.
• Demonstrated experience managing development projects from inception to completion.

• Identify, evaluate, and secure new real estate development opportunities.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and financial modeling for potential projects.
• Manage the acquisition of land and secure all necessary planning permissions and regulatory approvals.

About the Role Our client, a dynamic and expanding property development company, is seeking a visionary Real Estate Development Manager to lead ambitious projects in the rapidly growing region of Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This pivotal role involves managing the entire development lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to project completion and sale/lease. You will be responsible for identifying new development opportunities, securing land, obtaining necessary approvals, managing project budgets, and overseeing construction and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the development process, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering profitable real estate developments in the Richards Bay area and its environs. Key Responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of the South African property development process, regulations, and market trends, especially in KwaZulu-Natal .
• Strong financial analysis and project finance skills.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in project management software.
• Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region.
