Placements24 is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor for a construction consulting partner in Paarl, Western Cape. You will manage costs from tendering to final accounts, ensuring projects stay within budget and deliver value.

You'll prepare detailed cost estimates and BoQ, administer contracts, monitor costs, and drive value engineering across commercial and industrial projects in the Western Cape. Required: BSc/BTech in Quantity Surveying (SACQSP registration preferred) with 5+ years'

Qualifications

• BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
• SACQSP registration is advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost management for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and BoQ.
• Manage tendering and contractor evaluation.
• Administer contracts including variations and final accounts.
• Monitor costs and prepare cost reports for management.
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements for payments.
• Identify cost savings and apply value engineering.
• Advise on contract matters and dispute resolution.
• Ensure procurement and contractual compliance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Maintain financial records and project documentation.
