The successful candidate will oversee tendering, cost monitoring, site verification, and cost-saving negotiations with contractors. A SACQSP-registered professional is preferred, with at least five years' experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
• Analyze tender submissions and award contracts to successful bidders.
• Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase, managing variations and claims.
• Conduct site visits to measure work done and verify progress claims from contractors.
• Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to achieve cost savings.
