Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Analytical Chemist to join the Randburg-based quality control team. You will perform a broad range of analytical tests to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience as an Analytical Chemist in a quality control or R&D laboratory.
• Proficiency with instrumental analysis techniques, including chromatography (HPLC, GC) and spectroscopy.
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometers, and titration equipment.
• Develop and validate new analytical methods according to established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Document all experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately and thoroughly in compliance with quality standards.
• Investigate out-of-specification results and participate in root cause analysis.
