Placements24 is seeking a skilled Solar Panel Installation Specialist to join its renewable energy team in Port Elizabeth. You will install PV systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring installations are safe, efficient, and high quality, using cutting-edge solar technology.

The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical installation experience, is comfortable working at heights, and holds a valid South African driver's license.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solar panel installation or electrical contracting.
• Solid understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures for low-voltage systems.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with different types of solar panels, inverters, and mounting systems.
• Possession of a valid South African driver’s license.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent physical condition for demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install solar PV panels, mounting hardware, and associated electrical components on rooftops and ground mounts.
• Perform electrical wiring, connections, and testing of solar systems to ensure proper function and safety.
• Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and configuration for solar installations.
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Manage inventory of installation materials and tools on-site.
• Provide clients with post-installation explanations and basic system operation guidance.
