Job summary

Part of nGAGE Talent Limited is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to manage existing customer relationships and develop new business opportunities within the pump and fluid-handling industry. This role combines technical pump knowledge with customer relationship management, quotation preparation and order coordination.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma or other relevant technical qualification.
• 3–5 years' experience in a technical sales/sales engineering role within the pump industry.
• Practical knowledge of pumps, valves and pumping systems.
• Experience with pump selection and selection software.
• Understanding of pump curves and duty requirements.
• Experience identifying pump components and spare parts.
• Experience troubleshooting pump systems and technical support.
• Experience selling pumps, spares and related products.
• Proven ability to manage existing customers and develop new business.
• Experience preparing technical and commercial quotations.
• Good computer literacy and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to Durban for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing customers while identifying new opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer and site visits to promote pumps, valves, spares and related solutions.
• Develop relationships with engineers, project houses, municipalities and stakeholders.
• Identify projects, tender opportunities and monitor tender platforms.
• Prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations for pumps and related products.
• Process orders accurately and coordinate with production and procurement.
• Track orders through delivery and update customers on progress.
• Register and maintain project information in the CRM and ensure data accuracy.
• Provide technical advice and field support as required.
