Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is recruiting a Sales Engineer for an international engineering organisation. The role blends technical expertise with sales focus and project involvement across mining, water, and industrial sectors, with a client-facing mandate.

You will leverage experience in pumps, dewatering, or fluid handling solutions to identify opportunities, prepare tenders, provide technical specifications, and build long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree / BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in pumps / fluid handling / related industry.
• Proven experience in technical sales or client-facing engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of pump systems; mining / dewatering / industrial environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth through new business development and client engagement.
• Identify opportunities in mine dewatering and industrial applications.
• Provide technical solutions and product specifications to clients.
• Prepare tenders, quotations, and costings.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Support projects from concept through to implementation.
