The ideal candidate is an admitted Conveyancer or Attorney with at least four years of property law experience, capable of drafting and negotiating property agreements, performing due diligence, and ensuring compliance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Admitted Conveyancer or Attorney with at least four years in property law.
• Experience in residential and commercial property transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of SA property law, Deeds Registry, and sectional title.
• Skilled in drafting and negotiating property agreements.
• Strong lease agreement knowledge and landlord-tenant law.
• Proficient in legal research and conveyancing software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Able to manage a demanding workload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee legal aspects of property transactions including conveyancing for sales, purchases, and leases.
• Draft, review, and negotiate sale, lease, and development agreements.
• Conduct due diligence on properties and assess risks.
• Ensure compliance with property laws, zoning, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with agents, developers, financial institutions, and authorities.
• Manage property litigation, disputes, and evictions when required.
• Maintain accurate property records and register title deeds.
• Provide advice on land use and planning permissions.
