The ideal candidate has 8+ years in project management within energy or infrastructure, a Bachelor's in Engineering (PMP preferred), and a proven track record delivering projects > ZAR 50 million.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee the execution of critical renewable energy infrastructure projects in Centurion . This role demands a leader capable of managing complex projects from inception through to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline. You will be responsible for coordinating diverse teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and mitigating risks to deliver high-impact energy solutions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses exceptional leadership qualities, and has a proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure developments within the energy sector. This position is based at our Centurion office, fostering close team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of renewable energy projects, including planning, procurement, execution, and closure.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, including engineers, contractors, and site personnel, to ensure efficient workflow.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on the energy sector or infrastructure development.
• Demonstrated success in managing budgets exceeding ZAR 50 million and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, or battery storage is a plus.
