Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead renewable energy initiatives in George, Western Cape. You will oversee full project lifecycles from conception through commissioning to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery using best-practice PM methodologies.

Responsibilities include planning, risk management, stakeholder reporting, and cross-functional coordination with suppliers, contractors, and regulators, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience, with energy sector exposure.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to lead key initiatives within the renewable energy sector in George . This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from conception and planning through to execution and commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in expanding our client's clean energy portfolio and driving sustainable development in the Western Cape. The position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen understanding of project management methodologies within the complex energy industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.).
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and resolve issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure adherence to quality control, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements
