Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead renewable energy infrastructure projects in and around George, Western Cape. You will drive cross-functional teams and manage all phases from planning to handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

The role requires a strong track record in large-scale energy projects, PMP or PRINCE2, and a client-focused leadership style. Relocation assistance and a company vehicle may be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Proven track record managing large infrastructure projects, preferably energy sector.
• PM methodologies knowledge (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is essential.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to lead the development and execution of critical renewable energy infrastructure projects in and around George . This role is central to expanding our client's footprint in sustainable energy solutions within the Western Cape. You will be responsible for managing all phases of project lifecycles, from initial planning and procurement to execution and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, acquiring necessary resources.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage project teams, including engineers, contractors, and other specialists, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
• Communicate project progress, issues, and successes to all stakeholders regularly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the energy sector .
• Minimum of 7 years of project management experience.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Experience with renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, or hydro.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
