Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Project Manager for warehousing operations. The role involves managing projects within warehousing, collaborating with IT teams, and driving business outcomes through a structured PM approach.

The candidate should have 3 years of PM experience, knowledge of SOPs and ISO 9001, and a background in logistics or business management. PMI certification is preferred. Health and safety awareness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects within the warehousing environment
• Collaborate with IT teams to deliver projects
• Drive tangible business outcomes using structured PM approaches
• Draw up and maintain project plans
• Plan and schedule project tasks
• Apply PM methodologies to project work
• Assign roles and responsibilities for tasks
• Report project status and progress to stakeholders
• Maintain SOPs and update the SOP register
• Draft new SOPs for customers and ensure compliance
• Ensure on-time completion and achievement of project outcomes
• Maintain project documentation and records
• Escalate issues as needed

• 3 years project management experience
• Have knowledge and understanding of the functioning of operations and systems within the company
• Have knowledge and understanding of all relevant Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to their function
• Have knowledge and understanding of company policies
• Have knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and techniques
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and policies applicable to own work area
• Have knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9001 standard and processes
• Knowledge of how to gather business requirements
• Knowledge on how to document and report on project related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Managing projects within the warehousing environment
• Working closely with IT teams to complete projects.
• Achieving tangible business outcomes through a structured project management approach
• Drawing up of project plans
• Planning and scheduling of project tasks
• Utilisation of project management methodologies in the conduct of work
• Assigning roles and responsibilities to project tasks
• Reporting on the project plan and project status
• Communicating the progress of projects and escalating potential issues
• Ensure that tasks are completed on time and that project outcomes are met
• Project administration including scheduling of meetings, agendas minutes and action points and the distribution thereof
• Compile and maintain adequate records of work and ensure filing is done
• Communicate with stakeholders and providing timeous feedback where required
• Drafting of new SOPs for existing or new customers in line with business and customer requirements
• SOPs are maintained and up to date as per QMS standards
• All SOPs related documentation are recorded and maintained on the SOP Register
• SOPs are signed off and distributed in line with company documented procedures
• Completed SOPs are filed and handed over Data Department
