Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex projects using PMBOK/Prince2/Agile methods. You will ensure governance, manage scope, time and cost, and coordinate IT delivery teams and external partners to meet objectives.

The role requires at least five years in project, programme and portfolio management, plus strong stakeholder communication, risk management and delivery of successful outcomes in a multi-party environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project, programme & portfolio management experience.
• Excellent understanding of Waterfall & Agile project methodologies.
• Sound knowledge of IT functional areas / departments.
• Ability to challenge the norm and inspire creative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure standard project practice and governances followed.
• Accurate project implementation: closure reporting, quantify and feedback success to stakeholders.
• Manage dependencies, roles and challenges to deliver project outcomes.
• Drive clarity of the problem with the business and deliver required products on time and within cost.
• Provide coaching to team members and junior project managers and escalate issues with alternatives.

• Project Management Qualifications (PMBOK / Prince2/Agile)
• Minimum of 5 Years Project, Programme & Portfolio Management Experience
• Excellent understanding and experience of Waterfall & Agile Project Management Methodologies
• Excellent knowledge of Information Technology Functional areas / departments
• Sound knowledge of complex technical environments, the ability to challenge the norm and inspire creative solutions
• Knowledge of MS Office and Project Management software (MS Project etc.)
• Proven ability to work effectively with IT Delivery Teams, Partners and Suppliers
• Experience of engagements with subcontracted 3rd Parties to ensure they deliver to the contracted service
• Budget Management - Experience of managing and controlling large budgets

• Integrates delivery and metrics across the people, process, finance and customer dimensions of the business
