Job summary

Communicate Recruitment seeks an experienced Electrical Building Services Consultant in Cape Town to manage and coordinate delivery of projects from concept to completion. You will provide technical input into designs, oversee MV/LV systems, lighting, small power, standby power, and electrical distribution, and coordinate with architects, contractors and clients.

Qualifications include a BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in consulting; ECSA registration is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience within Electrical Building Services Consulting.
• Strong electrical engineering background with experience in project delivery and coordination.
• Proven experience with MV/LV systems, lighting, small power, standby power, and electrical distribution
• Experience working on commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare, or residential developments
• Strong understanding of the building services consulting environment
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary projects and contractors
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office ; Revit experience advantageous
• Strong project management, client liaison, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining technical quality and project deadlines

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion

• Identify and resolve technical and project-related challenges
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff
