About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join their innovative team, supporting projects from their Centurion base. This role specializes in the electrical design of building services for a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential developments. You will be responsible for translating architectural and engineering requirements into detailed electrical designs, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical system designs for power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and low-voltage applications.
• Produce precise electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD and relevant design software.
• Perform load calculations, select appropriate electrical equipment, and ensure compliance with SANS and building regulations.
• Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines, including mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to verify installation accuracy and address any design-related queries.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry trends in building electrical services design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering , specifically within building services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit MEP, or similar electrical design software.
• Strong knowledge of lighting design principles, power distribution systems, and earthing/bonding requirements.
• Understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and energy efficiency regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
