Job summary

Placements24 in East London is seeking an organized Program Assistant to support the rollout of community programs. You will handle administrative tasks, scheduling, and communications while coordinating events and activities with program managers and beneficiaries.

The role offers growth in a collaborative NGO environment in the Eastern Cape, with opportunities for hands-on learning in community development and program logistics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education an advantage.
• Experience in a non-profit or community setting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings and maintaining records.
• Assist in planning and execution of program activities and events.
• Coordinate volunteer or participant engagement for activities.
• Maintain program databases and assist with data entry and reporting.
• Respond to inquiries from beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders.
• Assist with procurement of supplies and program logistics.
