Placements24 in East London is seeking a strategic Community Programme Manager to lead social impact initiatives in the Eastern Cape. You will develop, implement, and oversee programmes that address community needs and foster sustainable change.

You will manage budgets, lead staff and volunteers, and build strong partnerships with local partners, government, and funders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in programme management, preferably in non-profit or community sector.
• Proven track record of managing projects, budgets and teams.
• Strong understanding of community development principles and local context.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for community programmes aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage programme budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and financial oversight.
• Lead, mentor and supervise programme staff and volunteers to achieve objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, local government and funders.
• Monitor programme progress, evaluate outcomes, and produce regular reports for stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for programme expansion and new initiatives to meet evolving needs.
