Job summary

M3 Human Capital Management (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Production Manager based on a farm 10km outside Greyton, reporting to the General Manager. The role covers the overall management of Apple and Pear units and oversees production processes, harvest planning, and workforce management.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in a similar role, knowledge of apples and pears, and be fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English. Diploma/Degree in Agriculture is advantageous.

• Recordkeeping and documentation for quality and ethical processes.
• Facilities management and maintenance.
• Planting of new orchards.
• Managing Global Gap and SIZA.
• All other tasks related to this position.

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager, who is passionate about the cultivation of apples and pears. The successful candidate will be based on a farm 10km outside of Greyton, and will report directly to the General Manager.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Responsible for the overall management of Apple and Pear units (±70 ha in total)
• Overall management and control of production processes
• Effective resources & cost management
• Effective workforce management, including training and development
• Recordkeeping and documentation pertaining to quality management and ethical processes
• Plan and coordinate harvest schedules
• Facilities management and maintenance
• Planting of new orchards
• Managing Global Gap and SIZA
• All other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Agriculture will be advantageous;
• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role;
• Knowledge of apples and pears;
