Job summary

FirstRand Limited in Johannesburg seeks a Business Analyst to liaise among stakeholders, understand bank operations, and recommend solutions to meet organizational goals. You will drive process and systems improvements within the custody domain.

Role involves eliciting requirements, documenting processes, and coordinating across project teams. Experience with BaNCS SP is essential; tests and manuals/training support are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in commerce, information systems or engineering.
• Business Analyst Diploma advantageous.
• 2+ years relevant BA experience in custody domain advantageous.
• Experience with BaNCS SP system advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Suggest changes in executing work processes to drive value for the business.
• Prepare and share recommendations for process and systems improvements.
• Facilitate workshops to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes and IT systems.
• Analyze existing processes and drive improvements with stakeholders.
• Document business/functional requirements.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify feasible solutions.
• Define metrics and acceptance criteria for solutions and ensure implementation of requirements.
• Clarify requirements for stakeholders.
• Participate in testing to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews.
• Produce system manuals and training materials as needed.
• Prioritize requirements with the Project Manager and identify deliverables.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve win-win outcomes.
• Initiate progress meetings to manage expectations and delivery.
