About the Role

Our client, a dynamic leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing of indirect services. This is a fully remote opportunity, enabling you to work from anywhere within the country while managing critical procurement functions. The role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of a wide range of indirect services, including professional services, facilities management, MRO, and logistics. You will develop and implement category strategies, lead complex negotiations, and build robust supplier relationships to support the company's ambitious growth plans. This role offers significant autonomy and the chance to make a tangible impact on operational efficiency and cost management. While remote, the primary operational focus area aligns with Bloemfontein, Free State.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for indirect service categories.
• Lead negotiations for high-value contracts, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
• Manage supplier performance, risk, and relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost drivers, potential savings, and emerging trends in indirect services.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand service needs and drive adoption.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within indirect procurement processes.
• Manage procurement data and reporting, highlighting key metrics, savings, and risks.
• Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation and best practice sharing.
• Support the development and implementation of procurement technology solutions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a significant focus on indirect services.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sourcing strategies and achieving substantial cost savings.
• Expertise in negotiating complex service agreements and managing diverse supplier portfolios.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to lead and succeed in a fully Remote work environment, demonstrating strong self-discipline and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in the renewable energy or utilities sector is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive innovation in procurement.
