Qualifications

Job Description

Purpose of the job : To support the category in creating Purchase Orders, managing supplier engagements, expediting, and handling departmental queries. Also, to coordinate sourcing procedures in accordance with both customer and business requirements.

  • Creating indents and managing import processes (indent file management & updated shipping schedules)
  • Providing import clearing instructions
  • Managing approved PR list and creating SAP orders for raw materials, packaging, and projects
  • Supporting data collection on supplier performance (supplier scorecard) from across the organization
  • Creating outline agreements
  • Resolving SAP workflows to ensure up-to-date supplier payments
  • Running supplier checks and background clearances of vendors
  • Managing Letter of Credit processes
  • Ensuring compliance with AECI Procurement Policy Directive, Guidelines, and legal and regulatory requirements
  • Adhering to Safety, Health, and Environment standards

Qualifications & Experience

Matric

2-3 years experience in supply chain and procurement administration

Experience with ERP and/or spend management systems

Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical tools

Good command of written English for business writing and presentation purposes

Knowledge of manufacturing environment

Understanding of company strategies regarding management of the supply chain, financial goals, and plans for growth and structural change
