Job summary

SRG Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Process Safety Engineer to lead Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives within a chemical manufacturing environment. You will ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and drive risk-based improvements across the plant.

The ideal candidate holds a BSc or BTech in Chemical Engineering with 8–10 years of relevant experience, and has strong knowledge of process safety, engineering principles and project management.

Qualifications

• BSc or BTech in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 8–10 years’ relevant experience in chemical manufacturing and process safety.
• Strong knowledge of process safety, engineering principles, and project management.
• Ability to lead projects and engage with technical teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and operational standards
• Conduct and facilitate HAZOPs, PHAs, MOCs and risk assessments, identifying and mitigating process safety risks
• Manage capital projects from concept and design through to commissioning and implementation
• Provide technical engineering support to manufacturing teams, improving plant reliability, safety, and operational performance
• Drive SHERQ, continuous improvement and safety leadership initiatives across the manufacturing environment
