Placements24 in South Africa seeks a dedicated Process Safety Engineer to join their operations in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will develop and implement PSM programs, conduct audits, and guide staff on safety best practices to protect personnel, assets and the environment.

With a minimum of five years in process safety within Oil & Gas or chemical industries, you will apply HAZOP, LOPA and SIL analyses, ensuring compliance with OSHA and API standards in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of process safety experience in Oil & Gas or chemicals.
• Fluency with HAZOP, LOPA and SIL assessments.
• Familiarity with OSHA and API safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Investigate incidents with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Design and oversee safety systems for facilities.
• Provide training to staff on process safety best practices.
