Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement in a manufacturing unit, improving operating efficiencies, reducing costs, and enhancing sustainability. You will design and optimise processes for new and existing products and support MECP through Focused Improvement and the PMC governance pillars.

You will work with engineering, technology, maintenance and manufacturing teams to resolve quality and efficiency challenges, lead trials, and contribute to energy and water

Qualifications

• Ter tiary qualification in Engineering (Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical), Food Technology and Food Science.
• Process Engineering, Supply Chain collaboration, New product development.
• Analytical, problem solving, project management, risk management, decision making.
• Leadership, change management, driving long-term results, innovative thinking.

Responsibilities

• Perform data and root-cause analysis to support issue resolution and optimize production processes.
• Conduct process capability studies to establish optimal product rationalization on lines.
• Develop and review energy and material balances for plant efficiency.
• Be the process custodian with R&D, Projects and Quality teams for new systems.
• Assist trial design, execution and reporting for NPD and process improvements.
• Lead governance of FI pillar within MECP and evaluate project impacts on safety and quality.
