Placements24 seeks a Process Control Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced process control systems in Upington. You will work with APC strategies, DCS/PLC platforms, and cross-functional teams to optimize chemical processes, safety, and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in process control engineering in chemical/industrial settings.
• Proficiency with DCS/PLC platforms and control system software.
• Strong understanding of control theory, instrumentation, and automation principles.
• Experience with simulation and modeling of control systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot APC strategies and systems.
• Develop and maintain control logic, algorithms, and HMI interfaces for plant operations.
• Work with DCS and PLC platforms.
• Collaborate with process engineers to identify opportunities for control improvements.
• Ensure reliability and performance of process control instrumentation and systems.
• Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel on control systems.
