Job summary

Network Recruitment is seeking a qualified Electrician for a hands-on maintenance role in a manufacturing environment in Cape Town. The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot PLC faults, and contribute to preventative maintenance and improvements.

You will work shifts and participate in shutdowns, with emphasis on safety and proactive problem-solving to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician (Trade Tested).
• Minimum NTC/N3 qualification.
• 5 to 7 years' maintenance experience within manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding abilities on electrical and mechanical systems.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Forklift license advantageous.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime and call-outs when required.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• PLC fault finding and breakdown response.
• Preventative, predictive and planned maintenance.
• Machine upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
• Site and facility maintenance.
• Maintaining high health and safety standards.
• Supporting shutdowns and critical maintenance activities.
