Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Electrician in Klerksdorp to ensure the reliability and safety of manufacturing facilities. You will prevent electrical failures, diagnose complex problems, and perform precise repairs on plant electrical systems to maximise uptime.

Candidates should hold a recognized trade certification, bring at least 5 years of industrial electrical experience, and be proficient with PLCs, VFDs, and MV/LV networks.

Qualifications

• Qualified Industrial Electrician with recognized trade certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Proficiency with industrial electrical controls, PLCs, VFDs, and low/medium voltage systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and work from complex electrical blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, control panels, motors, and power distribution equipment in an industrial setting.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide work.
• Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform necessary repairs efficiently.
