Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical assets in Randburg. You will diagnose faults, implement preventative maintenance, and work with production teams to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate holds a National Diploma or BEng in Electrical Engineering with 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience. Proficiency in PLCs, VSDs, and motor control circuits, plus strong safety awareness, are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance in industrial settings.
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Oversee corrective maintenance, repairs and replacements of components.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including lockout/tagout.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, performance, and spare partsinventory.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment reliability in Randburg.
