Placements24 is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our manufacturing operations in Vereeniging. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment to minimize production downtime and ensure reliable operation in a busy plant.
The ideal candidate has trade certification, hands-on experience with PLCs and control systems, and a strong commitment to electrical safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Qualified as an Industrial Electrician with relevant trade certification.
- Experience with industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and control systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
- Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including motors, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Assist with the commissioning of new machinery and plant modifications in Vereeniging.
