About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their industrial operations team in East London. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all electrical systems and equipment within the plant, supporting the vital manufacturing and energy infrastructure of the region. You will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on a wide range of electrical machinery and control systems. This is a hands‑on position requiring meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, PLCs, and control panels.

Requirements

• Trade Qualification as an Electrician (e.g., NQF Level 4 or equivalent) with a valid Wireman's License.

• Proven experience with PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic is essential.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety principles and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem‑solving skills.
