Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Receiving & Returns Specialist for a facility in Mahikeng to manage inbound goods and customer returns, ensuring accuracy of inventory and efficient processing.

You will inspect shipments, verify against orders, process returns, maintain a clean area, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, contributing to smooth operations in logistics and warehousing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory control, or returns processing.
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting moderately heavy items.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damages and discrepancies.
• Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing lists, reporting any variances.
• Process returned merchandise, inspecting items for condition and processing refunds or exchanges.
• Update inventory records accurately with received goods and processed returns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and returns area.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding receiving discrepancies and return issues.
