Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Retail Inventory Specialist for our client in Mahikeng. You will manage stock accuracy, perform counts, investigate variances, and support loss prevention in a retail environment.

The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. You will utilize inventory software and POS systems, and participate in stock rotation and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or a related field.
• Proficiency with inventory software and POS systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve variances.
• Ability to work independently and manage time to meet deadlines.
• Physical capability to handle stock movement when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular physical stock counts and cycle counts.
• Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
• Adhere to inventory control policies to prevent loss.
• Manage receiving, verification, and recording of incoming stock.
• Assist with stock rotation to minimize spoilage.
• Generate inventory reports for management highlighting findings.
