Job summary

4×4 Megaworld in Klerksdorp is seeking a precise Mandrel Pipe Bender Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate and set up mandrel bending machinery and interpret engineering drawings to meet exact specifications.

The role requires at least 3 years of hands-on experience in steel fabrication, a Grade 12 or N3 technical qualification, and a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality control. You will work in a production environment on site in Klerksdorp.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience operating mandrel pipe bending machines in steel fabrication.
• Grade 12 or relevant N3 technical qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of metal tolerances, spring-back, and tooling setups.
• Commitment to safety standards and physical endurance for factory work.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and safely operate mandrel pipe bending machinery to shape tubes and pipes to spec
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and manufacturing specs
• Select materials and tooling, ensuring proper changes to prevent wrinkles or kinks
• Inspect finished components with calipers and fixtures to maintain quality
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor faults
