Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• 23+ years of boring machine experience.
• Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Good understanding of measurements and tolerances.
• Experience using verniers, micrometers and gauges.
• Heavy engineering experience is advantageous.
• Relevant technical qualification or trade certificate is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up boring machinery and perform precision boring and machining operations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Select tooling and make basic machine adjustments.
• Measure and inspect components using precision measuring equipment.
• Ensure components meet required specifications and tolerances.
• Identify and report machine or quality issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
