Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join their Klerksdorp manufacturing team in South Africa. You will set up, operate and monitor CNC machines, interpret drawings and tolerances, and perform routine quality checks to ensure precision parts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and metalworking.
• Experience with G-code and CNC programming is advantageous.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, routers) according to production schedules and blueprints.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Monitor machine performance and perform routine checks to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform quality control inspections on finished parts, ensuring they meet required tolerances.
• Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery.
