National Empowerment Fund seeks a seasoned investment professional to monitor and grow its post‑investment portfolio. The role focuses on due diligence, valuation, impairment calculations, and robust risk reporting across diverse sectors.

You will conduct site visits, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with audit teams. A strong track record in post‑investment management and complex deal exits is essential.

Competenze

• At least 5 years deal making/investment experience.
• Strong project management and corporate finance/venture capital experience (min 5 years).
• Completed articles or strong audit experience.
• Good working knowledge of taxation, Companies Act, commercial law, litigation and insolvency law.
• Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
• Conduct enterprise valuations and exits on large complex deals.
• Proven track record of managing a diverse investment portfolio from a post investment perspective.
• Experience across various industry sectors.
• Portfolio risk analysis experience.
• MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint competency at an advanced level.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Understanding of valuation methodologies from a post investment perspective.

Mansioni

• Monitor the investment portfolio, portfolio recoveries and restructuring, and portfolio risk management.
• Conduct post‑investment due diligence and monitoring of investments in allocated NEF portfolio.
• Due diligence on applications from investees for further funding and obtain committee approvals.
• Periodic site visits to investee companies.
• Oversee investee legal compliance and valuations/impairment calculations.
• Quarterly risk analysis and reporting of investee companies (internal and external).
• Liaise with internal and external audit departments.
• Manage the NEF mentor panel of consultants per NEF investment.
• Monitor Empowerment Dividend data and report.
• Flag potential non‑compliance and defaults early.
• Attend investee board meetings and internal departmental committees as required.
