We are looking for a Post Investment AssociatePrincipal to manage and grow a portfolio of impact investments for an industryleading Impact Fund managed by Edge Growth Ventures. Be able to run with theday-to-day portfolio management responsibilities, portfolio value creation andthe strategic oversight and ownership of the active portfolio and underlyingSMEs.

Key Responsibilities:

Strong and Collaborative Leadership

• Deliver value-added assistance to portfolio companies, and support teamwith their portfolio companies in:
  • o Detailed financial analysis / modelling
  • o Assistance in strategy development
  • o Execution management
  • o Business building support
  • o Access to new markets
• Assume full responsibility for the allocated investee/s from deal teamhandover to exit.
• Help ensure that financial reporting, systems and processes of investeeswithin the portfolio meet required standards across the portfolio.
• Develop and deliver special projects to unlock value across theportfolio, including company restructures and turnarounds.
• Preparation of regular portfolio updates to the relevant stakeholders,and represent the Fund Manager in stakeholder meetings presenting on thePortfolio.
• Own the preparation, oversight, and critical review of follow-on fundingrequests from portfolio companies, including preparations and investmentproposals to the Investment Committee, assessing rationale, structure, timingand mandate fit.
• Drive performance and meet scorecard targets for the Portfolio.
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated portfolio review reports /dashboards.

Monitoring and Compliance

• Assist with the preparation of all monitoring & compliance relatedinformation and deliverables of the portfolio.

Legal

• Ensure effective management of investee company non-compliance andrecommendation for enforcement & / or rectification.

Governance

• Ensure effective governance and best practicewithin investees companies.
• Help ensure effective governance at a FundLevel.

Growth Support

• Provide oversight and ownership of all Growth Support initiatives andinterventions, and take a portfolio wide strategic focus.

Operations and Admin

• Assist in improving internal; processes, procedures and policies to improve portfolio management delivery within the underlying Fund.

Requirements

Qualifications

• AnMBA, CA(SA) or CFA degree would be advantageous
• Postgraduatedegree with a strong problem solving (e.g. Engineering, Actuarial Science,Statistics, Finance, Business Science, BSC), and / or finance underpinning

Experience

• Primary: +5years Impact / Venture capital investing experience, preferably in thepost-investment environment.
• Secondary: 5+years in a non-post-investment role in Audit, private equity or related.
