Red Ember Recruitment (PTY) Ltd is helping a luxury Franschhoek property recruit a Porter. You will welcome guests, assist with luggage, coordinate with reception and housekeeping, and perform light operational tasks to maintain premium service parity.

Applicants should have a Matric certificate, enjoy strong English communication, and demonstrate physical endurance. A valid driver’s license and night-shift availability are required; Franschhoek area preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist guests with luggage, parcels and related requests.

• Perform basic operational duties (set up pool, place cushions, clear dishes).
• Assist Housekeeping and Reception and upsell facilities/services.

Red Ember is looking for a dynamic individual for the position of Porter for one of our clients in Franschhoek.To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage various tasks on a daily basis to ensure great service and exceed guests’ expectations. You will excel in this role if you are enthusiastic and passionate about welcoming and serving guests with the willingness to go the extra mile.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist guests with their luggage, parcels, etc.
• Interacting with guests while assisting with luggage.
• Parking guests’ cars.
• Perform fundamental operational duties, such as setting up pool, placing lounger cushions, removing dishes, assisting Housekeeping and reception.
• Upselling of other facilities and services including our affiliates.

RequirementsExperience and Skills:

• Previous working experience in a 5 star luxury environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to interact with guests.
• Efficient complaint handling.
• Be Flexible in other departments.

Inherent Requirements:

• Matric Certificate.
• Good communication skills in English.
• High level of physical endurance.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work shifts including night shift.
• Preference will be given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas.
