Job summary
Henkel is seeking a maintenance engineer to plan and implement maintenance and optimisation measures for our production lines in South Africa. The role requires supervision of line technicians, and driving energy-efficiency improvements across the plant.
You will consult with production teams on technical issues and develop staff through regular trainings. Qualified candidates hold a B.Eng or BSc Electrical, with at least two years in manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Minimal education required: B.Eng or BSc Electrical (Non‑Negotiable).
- Area of specialization: Industrial plant maintenance.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of instrumentation is advantageous.
- Experience in team supervision and PLC-driven processes.
Responsibilities
- Plans and implements maintenance and optimisation measures.
- Provides technical supervision of line technicians.
- Drives continuous improvement of energy consumption in production.
- Delivers technical consulting to production teams.
- Develops employees with regular trainings and briefings.
- Monitors KPIs for engineering and maintenance processes.
- Familiar with PLC integration (Siemens) and fault finding.
- Conducts regular tests on electrical systems and machinery.
