Job summary

Henkel in Brakpan seeks a maintenance engineer to plan and implement maintenance and optimization measures across the production line. You will supervise technicians, drive energy efficiency, and provide technical consulting to the production teams.

The role requires a B.Eng or BSc in Electrical, at least 2 years in manufacturing, and familiarity with Siemens PLCs and instrumentation. Join a team focused on reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

B.Eng degree or BSc degree in Electrical is required.
Area of specialization: Industrial plant maintenance.
Minimum 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of instrumentation is advantageous.
Experience in supervising a team is required.
Familiarity with PLCs and industrial equipment/processes.

Responsibilities

Plans and implements maintenance and optimization measures.
Provides technical supervision of line technicians and drives energy consumption improvements.
Delivers technical consulting to production.
Develops employees through regular trainings and briefings.
Monitors KPIs for engineering and maintenance processes.
Conducts regular tests on electrical systems, equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation.
