Job summary

Profile Personnel is seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist (Plant) in Durban, South Africa to lead maintenance activities and enhance equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role requires a hands-on technical expert with strong leadership skills and at least 5 years' maintenance experience, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing sectors. Responsibilities include supervising maintenance, planning preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and managing engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance activities to maximize plant availability and reliability.
• Plan and oversee preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement corrective actions.
• Manage engineering projects from planning to implementation.
• Monitor performance and analyze reports for improvement.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team ensuring compliance.
