Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at its Mahikeng facility. This senior role oversees equipment uptime, preventive/predictive maintenance, and a team of technicians, with responsibility for budgets and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Industrial Management, with 5–7 years in a maintenance leadership role, strong CMMS knowledge, and proven ability to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Management or related field.
• 5-7 years in a plant maintenance leadership role in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Proven experience in leading maintenance teams and managing budgets.
• Strong understanding of maintenance techniques, CMMS and industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors, ensuring high performance and safety compliance.
• Oversee the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and control of expenditures.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure timely availability of critical components.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the plant.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, improve processes, and reduce downtime and costs.
• Oversee major repair projects and equipment upgrades in coordination with engineering and operations departments.
